Life's been a bit humbling, it's a delicate dance
So when the rope starts shifting and sharp blades start to advance
I'm grateful for this, I'm grateful for right now
Some old solutions, are hollow steps I've found
Such weightless fantasizing, that brief fleeting piece of joy
Hold onto those moments, don't bury the weight with boy
I'm grateful for this, I'm grateful for right now
Some old solutions, are hollow steps I've found
When everyday's a struggle, I need you to know I care
I wasted my time wanting, thinking work would get me there
I want this to matter, in some way to bring some good
But it's dehumanizing to brand yourself into would
I'm grateful for this, I'm grateful for right now
(Some old solutions, are hollow steps I've found)
I'm grateful for this, I'm grateful still somehow

Remember how Bill Murray woke up to I Got You Babe every day in Groundhog Day? If that song would have been Made Of Moods, he at the very least experienced three and a half perfect minutes each day. It’s one of those songs that I enjoy each and every second of, with it’s jangly guitars and hushed vocals that almost have a Beach Boys vibe, especially in the verse. Truly, it’s a song for the ages. But the best news about Still Life is that it offers eleven additional underground pop gems. Niek || Add To Wantlist
